TRC stands for Total Roll Gap Control. This describes an overall concept that comprises all the key aspects - from layout of the installations to supply of the adjusting mechanisms required as well as automation levels 1 and 2 for optimal process sequence and control of the roll gap. Compact Cold Mills, or CCM, represent the logical progression of the overall mini mill concept.

To achieve the required mechanical properties, strip flatness and deliberate surface roughness, our skin-pass stands are the optimum solutions.

Our coupled pickling and tandem plants are capable of producing extra light-gage strip down to 0.18 mm final thickness, as well as light-gage strip up to a capacity of more than 2 million t/year. Moreover we can design the mill stands as CVC-4-Hi, CVC-6-Hi, CVC-6-Hi or a combination of both. To produce extralight-gage sheets and high-strength materials, we offer our 2-stand DCR mills (Double Cold Reduction).

Yet it is not only the modern Sendzimir monoblock and Z-high types, we also build a new generation of 20-roll mills in two-stand design.

Equally expert in aluminum processing, SMS INNSE supplies both multiple-stand tandem mills with high production capacities and single stands for smaller batch sizes to manufacture a wide spectrum of products. We produce both mills for large absolute strip reduction and foil finishing stands for thickness in the micrometer range.
